FASTRACK the Future by Deloitte, UTS and Hargraves

Axle8 has been invited as a participant at a one day workshop in Melbourne next week organised and facilitated by Deloitte Australia’s Innovation team and the Hargraves Institute.  The goal of the workshop is to come up with out-of-the-box, multidisciplinary solutions to the most challenging problems that are in danger of changing the market rules. Guest innovators include some pretty great organisations including Google, UTS School of Business, UTS UrbanAid, BetterPlace, Horizon Power and the Bionic Ear Institute.

Some of the things we’ll be looking at are:

* what innovative alliances, products, technologies and business models can ride the opportunities of Google Wave.

* end of grid and off the grid utility solutions.

* how to collaborate around building the infrastructure for the electric car grid or essential services for isolated communities.

* sharing in the new vision around design thinking, rhetoric and management to create new breeds of manager.

* how to create digital environments that digitise an urban landscape.
